DENTAL SERVICES
EXAMINATION & CHECK-UP
It is important to attend your dental check-up on a regular basis as any potential problems could be identified early and appropriate action can be taken. Tooth decay can, if left untreated, cause the total loss of a tooth within a year. For this reason it is important that you attend every 6 months.
We will check your teeth for cavities and broken fillings or crowns. We also check your gums and your general oral hygiene to ensure there are no concerns. Finally soft tissues are checked for ulcerations or other lesions.
We may take X-rays (radiographs) if necessary. These show any hidden decay between the teeth and the level of the bone which may indicate periodontal disease.
TOOTH EXTRACTION
Tooth removal (or tooth extraction) involves having one or more teeth completely removed from your mouth if it is damaged or decayed beyond repair. There are several reasons why your teeth may need to be taken out. The most common reasons include:

- tooth decay
- gum disease (periodontal disease)
- a broken tooth that can not be repaired
- an abscess on your gums or around your teeth
- crowded teeth / impacted wisdom teeth

Your teeth may be removed in a single appointment,
TOOTH DECAY & RESTORATION
Tooth decay is caused by acid erosion of the tooth enamel. Many different types of bacteria normally live in the mouth. They build up on the teeth (along with saliva, food residue and other natural substances) in a sticky film called plaque. Plaque forms easily in certain places. These include:

- Cracks, pits or grooves in the back teeth
- Between teeth
- Around dental fillings or bridgework
- Near the gum line

Our dentists and dental hygienists are well experienced in advising you how to prevent tooth decay and providing a wide range of treatments.
NERVOUS PATIENTS
If you are nervous, a trip to the dentist can be a stressful experience - even getting onto the dentist’s chair can be too much. Just coming to the practice can be a real cause of stress and occasionally people need somebody to bring them in to see us.

At Copper Beech Clinic, our whole team treats every patient with an individual, kind, caring and compassionate attitude. Dr. Aslani specialises in treating nervous patients. We will do everything we can to put you at ease, to help get your mouth back into a healthy condition.
CHILDREN
We believe that children should be seen by a dentist on a regular basis, to monitor their teeth as they grow.

Here at Copper Beech Clinic, we encourage and teach children to become actively involved in looking after their teeth from an early age.

We use as many preventative methods as we can, such as fissure sealing, Fluoride treatment and educating your child about good brushing techniques.
DENTURES
Of all the things you wear, your smile probably is the most important. Denture wearers unfortunately could feel very self-conscious of their smile. We can make natural looking dentures. We supply a full range of modern dentures to suit all budgets.

- Full & Partial Dentures
- Cobalt Chrome Dentures
- High pressure acrylic dentures

As well as new dentures we can also provide repairs to broken or cracked dentures.
ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
Root canal treatment (endodontics) is a dental procedure used to treat infection at the centre of a tooth. It is always better to save your natual tooth if that is possible. Root canal treatment is not painful and can save a tooth that might otherwise have to be removed completely.
SNORE GUARDS
A significant number of adults are considered habitual snorers. We make custom snore guards that could greatly reduce snoring. Snore guards work by preventing jaw from dropping back into the throat that restricts the air flow. Our snore guards are relatively comfortable to wear at night. Do talk to us to see how we could help you.
TREATING GUM DISEASE
Periodontal (gum) diseases, including gingivitis and periodontitis, are serious infections that, left untreated, can lead to tooth loss. Periodontal disease is a chronic bacterial infection that affects the gums and bone supporting the teeth that can affect one tooth or many teeth. We can help you recover from the gum disease.
